Do you write non-fiction, fiction, poetry, policy briefs, or other writing for non-academic audiences? Practicing Anthropology would like to hear from you.
Anthropologists have the potential to reach a wide audience, though we don’t always know how to develop writing and other media to reach beyond the discipline. The Practicing Anthropology editorial team is soliciting submissions that demonstrate different ways of communicating our work beyond an audience of anthropologists.
We are seeking submissions of non-academic anthropologically-informed work. We are also interested in work that shows multiple media communications about a topic geared toward different audiences in the form of two companion pieces. As always, we are especially interested in receiving submissions from authors from historically underrepresented and oppressed groups.
Please inquire if you would like more information or have an idea to share. Review instructions for authors and a submission manager.
Feel free to reach out to us at practicinganthropology@gmail.com.
Deadline for this call: March 1.
